Roswell Rotary Club

Teacher Exchange Program

Visit Argentina

Roswell Rotary Club is the U.S. end of an annual “teacher exchange”. For two weeks in June or July, a Roswell area teacher is sent on expense-paid trip to the Buenos Aires suburb of Pilar, Argentina, to visit, study and experience that Latin culture, from an educator’s perspective. The teacher is hosted there in private homes by educators and Rotarians of Pilar, Argentina (the “Polo Capital of the World”), The teacher should have an eager attitude toward learning and culture and, on return, be prepared to report the experience to the Roswell Rotary Club, participate in Rotary events, and spread awareness of the experience throughout her school and community.

While no costs are to be borne by the teacher, the school will be expected to commit to: organize some type of student fund-raiser to defray costs, promote and publicize its teacher’s participation, and help receive the Argentine teacher during his/her visit in February.
