After working hard over the last several weeks to get all of the citations and awards submitted to District 6900 and Rotary International, I needed an infusion of energy. Starting the week off with Read Across Roswell and ending the week with Teddy Keyserling stealing the show at our club meeting I am re-energized by their youth. I hope that you get a chance to volunteer (Roswell Relays) or engage with kids we serve (Interact Day) in the coming weeks and some of their energy rubs off on you too.
Alex Kaufman and Lisa Carlisle are a couple of our are representatives for the 2020 Census and will kick off a conversation this week about why the census matters.

Fran Phillips-Calhoun is the intergovernmental & interagency affairs manager for Fulton County Government. Her primary duties are guiding the development of the County’s federal and state legislative agendas and securing competitive federal and other major grant funds to positively impact the lives of Fulton County residents. Additionally, she is overseeing the County’s outreach efforts and 15-city coordination for the 2020 Census.
This is a fun service project and something you can bring the whole family to volunteer for. There are all kinds of jobs for all ages and/or abilities. Please register to volunteer online or see Stacy Sims to sign up.
VOLUNTEER FOR RELAYS
If you are not volunteering for a morning shift at Roswell Rotary Relays, there is a great opportunity for learning more about Rotary and meeting other Rotarians from across District 6900 at the District Training Assembly in Columbus, GA. Our club will reimburse you for your participation. If you are interested please see Lynne Lindsay.

You may have your hotel room, but many of you still need to register for the District Conference so you can attend all of the events on Jekyll Island that weekend. If you haven't done so, please register as soon as possible.

It's time for the next round of cleaning up the Chattahoochee River. We will meet at Dutch and Kathy Earle's house and head down to the river to pick up trash. This is great opportunity for families to volunteer together. Let Dutch know if you would like to join the team.

Donating blood doesn’t hurt. It’s safe. And Roswell Rotary is making it easy for you by bringing the mobile donation center here.
And Variant Brewery thinks that cookies may not be enough to get you to donate, so they are offering a free pint of their outstanding beer to induce you to do a good deed.
For more information about donating, or to volunteer, please contact Hal Schlenger at HSchlenger@GreatSouthBenefits.com or 770-335-0077.
