Leadership
This past week Roswell Rotary honored some of our high school football athletes for their leadership skills as well as honor our past president Skipper Hoke. And after a year where UGA won its first national championship in 40 years it's only appropriate that we expanded this leadership award to three of our local feeder football programs into Georgia. According to Skipper's wife "Skipper would be proud" of this day and very proud of these three young men receiving this award with his name on it.
There are many traits of a great leader. One of those traits is an individual who
understands that to be a winner you need to put your team ahead of
yourself. So its only fitting that the
Skipper Hoke Leadership Award was presented by Roswell Rotary whose motto is "Service Above Self" to three young men who exemplify our motto for the good of
their team.

Kali Boatwright is joining us for fried chicken on Thursday, March 3rd to answer that question!
Boatright joined the Greater North Fulton Chamber of
Commerce as President and CEO in 2018. As an expert in nonprofit management and
a proven leader in organizational growth and strategy execution, she recently
led the Chamber to 5-Star Accreditation by the US Chamber as well as an early
2022 office relocation to 10,000 Avalon. The Chamber has seen record growth of
its Chairman’s Circle membership and member engagement as it prepares for its
2023 50th Anniversary Celebration.
Boatright is a graduate of the US Chamber’s Institute for
Organizational Management and is a Georgia Certified Chamber Executive. Kali is
Vice President of the Technical College Foundation Association of Georgia, is
Chair of the Georgia Chamber Federation for the Georgia Chamber and is a past
Chair of the Georgia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. In
addition, she serves on the boards of the Regional Business Coalition, Tech
Alpharetta, the Gwinnett Tech Foundation and North Fulton Community Charities.
In 2017, Boatright was honored by the chamber industry when
she received the Georgia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives Legacy
Award. As the association’s most prestigious award, it recognizes long-term
executives who have excelled over a period of years in leading and innovatively
building their Chamber. The award is based on the demonstration of excellence
in areas of chamber leadership, organizational management, service to the
profession, community reputation/involvement, and personal attributes.
Kali is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism. Her husband David is a Chemistry Teacher at Cambridge HS in Alpharetta and her two adult children live and work in Atlanta.

It was a tremendous turnout on "Twosday" 2/22/22 as we were fortunate to collect 51 pints of blood for the American Red Cross. In addition to the collection of blood, that'll save so many lives, we now have 12 Roswell Rotary Team Members signed up on our Mobile App who will now be true ambassadors for the cause. Last, but certainly not least thanks go out to all our volunteers and of course to our hosts Pat Rains and Michael Curling for their current and past help savings lives in our community...Gate City Brewery ROCKS!
