College Football really kicks off this weekend. UGA fans are still celebrating a national championship. Other SEC fans are hoping to dethrone the Dawgs. Tech fans are just hoping for a winning season. Big Ten fans are wondering what USC and UCLA have to do with the Midwest? Big Twelve fans are still trying to learn to count.
Do you have a favorite team? If so, wear your school colors to our meeting this week when we will hear Georgia Tech Athletics Director Todd Stansbury share his thoughts about what is happening in the world of big time college football. NIL, transfer portal, conference realignments … what’s next?
See you Thursday. Go Jackets !!

Welcome to our program speaker Todd Stansbury!
A little about Todd...
Excited to hear from Todd. Yes there is football, but there is a whole lot more!!!

The next After Hours meeting is Tuesday, September 6 at 6:30 at The Artillery Room @ Gate City.

Roswell Rotary, in partnership with the City of Roswell, will be holding its third annual 9-11 First Responders Drive Through Cookout this Saturday, September 3, 2022 between 3 pm and 8 pm at Roswell Fire Station #4, off of Old Alabama Road, Roswell.
During the September 11, 2001 attacks, 2,977 people were killed and more than 6,000 other were injured. Of the 2,977 fatalities, 2,753 were killed in the World Trade Center and surrounding area, 184 at the Pentagon, and 40 in Pennsylvania. These deaths included 265 on the four planes. The attacks remain the deadliest terrorist act in world history.
The Roswell Rotary Club 9-11 Committee invites any members interested in assisting in the cookout to contact Dave Young nfultonpt@juno.com , Gene Beckham gene@bfsga.com , or Jack Wyche javic@msn.com.

School Attended: Georgia Southern University
Major: Construction Management
Places I have lived: I grew up in Metter, Georgia. I have moved around the country managing projects and lived in Brownsville, Texas; Columbus, Georgia; LaGrange, Georgia; Orlando, Florida; Jackson, Mississippi. I have lived in Roswell for 12 years and it is now my permanent home.
Spouse: Rhonda (Kemp)
Kids: No kids
Other involvement in community: Previous community activities include being the co-chair for Associated Builders and Contractors Community Projects Committee and working on various Habitat for Humanity homes.
Career: Currently I am a Senior Program Manager managing the site selection, due diligence, design, and construction of capital building programs in the education, manufacturing, and public sectors such as Auburn University, Continental Tire, Federal Express, and the Georgia Board of Regents. Prior to representing owners, I worked as a general contractor building similar projects.
Something interesting: In college, I worked with my family on the ground-up restoration of a 1939 J-3 Piper Cub. To get the plane to the location to start the restoration, we landed it on a 2-lane highway outside of Statesboro, Georgia. While travelling through Metter on I-16, you may see the plane on the airport tarmac.
Why I joined Rotary: Now that I have made Roswell my permanent home, I joined to have a more engagement in the local community which I have lacked in the past due to moving and travelling throughout the country for work.
