Welcome to Our New Members!
We are excited to welcome our newest members to the Roswell Rotary family: Queen Brown, Deb Perkins, David Houck, Peter Saddler, and Steve Money. Each of you brings unique talents and experiences, and we are thrilled to have you join us in serving the community.
A special thanks to Dan Corso for his insightful presentation on the elite sporting events coming to Atlanta, including the FIFA World Cup. His updates on the exciting opportunities for our city were truly inspiring.
We look forward to working alongside our new members and continuing our mission of service above self!
Leadership 20/20: Empowering Our Future Leaders
One of the highlights of the year is our involvement with Leadership 20/20, where we have the privilege of hosting emerging student leaders from every corner of the Roswell High School campus. This program is a fantastic opportunity for these students to learn about leadership, personal growth, and the importance of service to others.
As part of their experience, the students will join our Rotary meeting to hear from Past President Dave McCleary, a leading advocate for ending human trafficking. Dave’s powerful message about keeping young people safe and empowering them to make a difference will no doubt inspire the next generation of leaders.
Leadership 20/20 continues to be a cornerstone of our commitment to nurturing youth leadership, and we are honored to support these bright young minds as they prepare to take on the challenges of tomorrow.

Roswell Rotary Club is sponsoring Leadership 20/20 on Thursday Feb. 27. Part of the program for these 80 plus students of Roswell High School who have been selected by their teachers for this Leadership Development Program is the keynote presentation. This year, Hannah Palmquist and Dave McCleary will speak with the club and the students about Human Trafficking and what is being done in Georgia to stop it.
Please welcome all of our student guests and also our outstanding speakers who have blazed the trail for ending human trafficking across the globe!
Hannah Palmquist Bio:
Hannah Palmquist leads the Office of the Attorney General’s Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit.
Hannah earned her law degree from Emory School of Law in 2012. After Law School, Hannah served as an Assistant District Attorney for DeKalb County. She then served as an Assistant District Attorney for Cobb County in the Trial Division before moving to the Special Victims Unit where she prosecuted sexual offenses and crimes against children. She obtained convictions on cases including child molestation, rape, child pornography, domestic violence and human trafficking. During that time, Hannah was named to the Daily Report’s 2016 “On the Rise,” edition, a publication of 40 attorneys under the age of 40 state-wide who are determined to be “Rising Stars.” In 2017, she successfully argued the constitutionality of the Georgia statute which criminalizes child pornography to the Georgia Supreme Court. In September of 2018, she become the supervisor of the Cobb County Juvenile Unit where she worked with juvenile runaways and victims of human trafficking.
On July 1, 2019, Hannah was named the Unit Chief over the Attorney General’s Human Trafficking Unit where she oversees a team dedicated to the prosecution of domestic minor sex trafficking. In that role, she has been twice named to James Magazine’s list of Georgia’s Most Influential Attorneys. In her current role, she leads the investigation and prosecution of human trafficking cases across the state of Georgia and provides training to local, national, and international audiences.

Women in Rotary is a group of women Rotarians and wives of Rotarians from Alpharetta, Johns Creek, North Fulton and Roswell who connect once a quarter for social interaction, business networking and to get to know each other better. All women Rotarians and wives of Rotarians are invited.
The first Women in Rotary event of 2025 will be held at the Hotel Avalon on Wednesday, February 26 from 5:30-7:30PM. Light refreshments will be provided, and women may buy their own drinks.
Please RSVP HERE by February 23rd.
Men, be sure to pass this invitation on to your wives so they may join in the fun!
Because our Rotary motto is "Service Above Self," we include a service aspect each quarter. This time, please bring one or more $5 Kroger, Publix or Target gift cards to donate to the Drake House, which provides housing to single mothers and their children who are experiencing homelessness in North Fulton.
