President Nancy's Message
Thank You, District Governor Gordon Owens and Fellow Rotarians! On behalf of the Roswell Rotary Club, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to District Governor Gordon Owens and all the Rotarians who came out to support our ADA-accessible picnic table project at the Chattahoochee Nature Center. With the help of a $5,000 district grant, we were able to build and install six picnic tables in the new Roswell Rotary Rest Stop, which also features a peace pole with messages of unity in English, French, Chinese, and Haitian Creole. DG Gordon’s visit not only helped us complete this important project, but it also gave us the opportunity to learn more about the district’s vision for the future. His insights on how Rotary can continue to serve our communities and inspire positive change were truly motivating. We are proud to be part of a district that fosters innovation and makes a real difference, just as we have done with the Chattahoochee Nature Center. The day was a wonderful blend of service and fellowship, as we gained a deeper understanding of the Nature Center’s mission to connect people with nature and the importance of making these outdoor spaces accessible to all. Thank you again to DG Gordon and everyone who made this project such a success. Your dedication to Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self” shines brightly in every project we undertake together. Rotarians Packing Warmth for Star House Kids This week, the Roswell Rotary Club will be packing warmth and comfort for the children of Star House as part of our community grant project. Thanks to a generous $2,000 district grant, we’ve been able to purchase hats, gloves, scarves, and socks for 109 boys and 109 girls from three Roswell area elementary schools. These items will help ensure the children are bundled up and ready for the winter months ahead. Packing for a purpose is what Rotary is all about. A huge thank you to everyone who has helped make this project possible, and to the district for their generous support. Your efforts will make a real difference in the lives of these children this winter. We look forward to seeing everyone at the meeting!
