FAMILY OF ROTARY

Our membership cares deeply about the needs and concerns of our members. We don’t want to miss an opportunity to reach out in friendship when such concerns arise. The chairperson of this committee is Lynn Dunn and all news should be directed to her at lynn.dunn@rmcpa.com

President's Message

DG Number Three!

We had a packed house of district leadership to participate in the announcement of our next District Governor, Past President Gordon Owens.   We congratulate Gordon and look forward to his leadership at a higher level!

Thank you to everyone who brought a toy or a gift card this last week for North Fulton Community Charities and the Drake House.  Through your generosity many young children will learn the spirit of Christmas.

I am looking forward to this weeks musical program lead by Bruce Peoples and Kurt Hilbert as well as an inspirational speech by our very own Lee Jenkins.  Come and show off your favorite holiday ugly sweater or suit for that matter!  This is our last lunch meeting but don't forget to join us on the 22nd at Michael Agurkis' place on Canton St for some holiday libations and Christmas Caroling.   I look forward to a second half of the Rotary Year.................... but whos counting?

Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

Holiday Meeting December 16, 2021
Holiday Program Music & Hope!

There will be Music!!!!

Bruce Peoples will once again produce our Holiday music program. Kurt Hilbert will assist.

And there will be Hope!!

The Message of Hope will be delivered by Pastor Lee Jenkins. Lee Allen Jenkins is Founder and Senior Pastor of Eagles Nest Church in Alpharetta, Georgia and Managing Principal of Lee Jenkins Group; a management consulting firm that helps churches make better and smarter financial decisions. Previously, Lee had a stellar 25-year career in financial services where he reached the level of Vice President of Investments at two major Wall Street firms: Morgan Stanley and Raymond James & Associates.

Lee was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and is a proud graduate of the University of Tennessee, where he was a standout defensive back on the football team. After graduating, Lee was drafted by the New York Giants of the National Football League, but after one year, his career was cut short by injuries. Along with being in business and ministry, Lee served for years as an assistant varsity football coach at Centennial High School and Lassiter High School. He serves on numerous national and local boards and is in high demand as a speaker at churches and conferences.

Lee has been married to his wife Martica for over 33 years and they have three grown children, Kristin (a UGA graduate), Martin (a Clemson graduate), and Ryan (an Arizona State University graduate).

We hope you will join us for some holiday music and an inspirational message of hope.

Got an Ugly Holiday Sweater?
Wear that UGLY SWEATER to the 12-16 meeting

Get ugly on Thursday...

That means find your tackiest, gaudiest, and yes, ugliest sweater or suit (President Terry might have one) and show your fellow Roswell Rotarians just how low your holiday attire taste can go! See you Thursday!!!

Upcoming Project - Bulloch Hall Cleanup

In cooperation with the City of Roswell, Roswell Rotary is putting together a cleanup day on  the grounds of Roswell landmark Bulloch Hall.  Stay tuned for future updates and a specific date to be announced.  Let's grab our tools and gather and help repay the City of Roswell in some small way for the use of the Gym and kitchen facilities that we enjoy each week.  Please contact Matt Millard to let us know you are interested and we will forward you a volunteer waiver.  Thank you!
