Message from the President
What a fantastic time we had at our recent meeting, where we welcomed members of our Interact Clubs! It was truly inspiring to hear about the incredible service projects they’re working on and to witness their passion for making a difference. Their energy and enthusiasm remind us why the future of service is so bright. A special highlight was planning and walking in the Youth Day parade. We collaborated with the Interact students and showcased our float, symbolizing the strong connection between Rotary and our community’s young leaders. I saw so many Rotarians there with their families watching! Let's keep the momentum going as we work together across generations to serve others. **Upcoming Speaker: Cybersecurity Expert ** This week, we’re excited to welcome a special guest speaker who will dive into cybersecurity. As our digital world expands, protecting personal and business information is more important than ever. Our expert will share insights on the latest cyber threats, how to recognize potential risks, and practical steps to keep your data secure. Join us for what promises to be an informative and timely presentation. Whether you’re tech-savvy or just looking to improve your digital safety, this talk is for you! Inspiring Fundraising Panel at After Hours Club
Tuesday, October 3, an enlightening panel at Roswell’s After Hours Club addressed the largest obstacle to service projects: funding. District 6900 Rotarian-of-the-Year, Sid Disher, District Foundation Chair, Bob Hagan, and Major Gifts Coordinator, Lee Hollingsworth shared their extensive experience and insights, empowering the audience with practical strategies. "It was enormously rewarding," said Lee Hollingsworth, "to share our collective expertise both from the fundraisers' and donors' perspectives." "Fundraising not only supports vital projects but also enriches donors' lives. Club President Brooke Foxman, PP Leigh Brown, and Will McFarland, immediately volunteered to help, fielding inquiries about Bequest Society membership. There was valuable participation from Coach Tim McFarland and Roswell PP Terry Taylor. This initiative exemplifies the commitment and selflessness of our members. We encourage all members of the Roswell Rotary Club to be inspired by this event. Want to be a part? Email or text Lee at lee@leehollingsworth.com or 678-576-4838. Together, our impact is huge.
