FAMILY OF ROTARY

Our membership cares deeply about the needs and concerns of our members. We don’t want to miss an opportunity to reach out in friendship when such concerns arise. The chairperson of this committee is Lynn Dunn and all news should be directed to her at lynn.dunn@rmcpa.com

NO MEETING THIS WEEK!

HAVE A HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Whether turkey or tofu on Thursday, practice and teach the 4-way test with your friends and family, and we'll see you on the 29th (if not sooner).

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Let's Be Grateful for Everything!

Gratitude is defined as the state of being thankful. Gratitude is a key component of living happier and longer lives. I know this is true in my own life. It seem the more I give thanks, the more reasons I have for gratitude. Gratitude reduces stress, improves our health and protects us from negativity. Gratitude draws people together, builds trust, and strengthens ties.

When I talk with people about how to be happy, I almost always recommend that they find a way to serve others. The funny thing about serving others is that when we focus on them, we are more likely to focus on what we have—not on what we don’t have—and our gratitude and thankfulness grows. David Steindl-Rast believes that when we are grateful, we are happy. His Ted Talk “Want to be happy? Be grateful” provides some great ideas about living gratefully. Click here to check it out.

This Thanksgiving, let’s be grateful, enjoy all the richness in our lives and share our joy with family and friends (and the harried sales clerks on Black Friday!).

Happy Thanksgiving!

President Becky
