The proceeds of this event fuel the engine of RRC charity efforts throughout the year.
The $209K raised funds 40+ local charities. But RRC is not just a check writing club. These charities enjoy tremendous support as RRC members follow the money with their time, talents and passion for putting service above self.
As a large club, RRC is able to say "Yes" to all avenues of service as we spread our golf and tennis funds out to serve the community and the world. International efforts include feeding children in Honduras and providing clean water to communities. We sponsor a teacher exchange program in Argentina. And when disaster strikes, you can always count on RRC to step up and help our District with their response in GA and throughout the world.
A slice of our funds seed new and much needed efforts. The "End Human Trafficking", "Be THE Voice" and now "Opioid Awareness" trace their origins to funding and efforts by RRC, but have grown to be community, state and even international charities.
Tugging on heartstrings only goes so far. You have to put on an event that people want to attend and sponsor. Our full day of fun includes the sporting activities followed by an evening of celebration with a band, auctions, libations, dinner and an opportunity to try your luck at the casino tables.
