Serving those who keep us safe, Roswell Rotary hosted its third annual 9/11 First Responder Cookout for local law enforcement, fire and rescue and 911 officers. While this was a program initially intended to serve the officers during COVID, there was so much community support and bonding, it's become an annual event.
Rotarians from Roswell Rotary and North Fulton Rotary and Interact club members from Roswell High School and Blessed Trinity Catholic High School served 2 shifts of Fire, Police, and Rescue personnel at Fire Station #4 on Old Alabama Road with over 300 burgers and dogs served. Leftover food and drinks were donated to the firefighters.
First responders drove through in firetrucks and police cars to pick up packed meals that also included cookies courtesy of the North Fulton Rotary Club. Many stayed to visit. This was a great event upon which we gave thanks to our First Responders for what they do for us, every day !!
