Dia de los Muertos - Day of the Dead

For the last three years, the City of Roswell has hosted a Dia de los Muertos Festival on Saturday at the end of October. Visitors of all ages attend to celebrated this traditional Mexican holiday, which features an afternoon and evening filled with fun, remembrance, and community spirit. The festival is presented in partnership with the Consulate General of Mexico.

Dia de los Muertos - or the Day of the Dead - is traditionally celebrated October 31 to November 2 in central and southern regions of Mexico. The holiday is centered around remembrance of lost loved ones, as communities come together to celebrate their memory and pray for their safe spiritual journey.

Roswell Rotary had its tent up again this year. Our Service Project chair David White and Interact students helping children paint sugar skulls and build multi-colored paper flowers. Several Rotarians stopped by during the day. We helped kids and parents create a couple hundred flowers.
