Roswell's Annual Rivers Alive Clean-Up
Roswell Rotary supported the Annual Rivers Alive clean-up!
At our designated area there were 23 volunteers including 9 Roswell Rotarians. This event keeps the Chattahoochee River, one of our major waterways (70% of metro Atlanta drinking water) and tourism assets, clean and healthy. An additional benefit is this is an event that we use to engage and work alongside many of our active Interact students.
Together, we:
Collected 600+ pounds of trash
Removed 1,000+ pounds of invasive plants
Planted 300+ native plants
