President Nancy's Message

Celebrating Service: Scholarship Presentation, Charity Support, a Special Honor, & Roswell Remembers

At our recent Roswell Rotary Club meeting, we had the joy of celebrating the spirit of Rotary through scholarships, charitable giving, and recognition of outstanding service.

We were honored to welcome Bill Wolff and his family as they awarded to Rita Fingerman the Patsy Wolff Scholarship, she was the first woman in the Roswell Rotary Club. This meaningful award honors the legacy of Patsy Wolff, a beloved member and trailblazer in our club, and celebrates Rita’s dedication to Rotary’s ideals. Having the Wolff family with us made the moment especially powerful, and we thank them for preserving Patsy’s legacy through this scholarship.

In addition, Roswell Rotary proudly presented checks to 25 local charities. Each of these organizations is making a significant impact in our community—from helping children and families to supporting education, mental health, and more. Thank you to the representatives who joined us in person to receive their checks. A video of each presentation was captured and will be shared to spotlight the incredible work being done across our city and region.

We also extend heartfelt congratulations to our very own Dr. Betty Price, who was awarded the prestigious Frank E. Bentley District 6900 GRSP Leadership Award. This honor recognizes her outstanding commitment to international understanding and education through the Georgia Rotary Student Program. Betty’s passion and service are an inspiration to us all.

This was truly a meeting that reflected the best of Rotary—service, generosity, and fellowship. Thank you to everyone who made it so special.

Join Us for a Special Presentation Honoring the Dick Anthony Family at 12:05 this Thursday.

Roswell Rotary invites you to a very special presentation this week, before our regular meeting at 12:05 as we recognize and honor the lasting legacy of one of our own—Dick Anthony—and his remarkable contribution to the Georgia Rotary Student Program (GRSP).

We will be presenting a special tribute to the Dick Anthony family in appreciation of Dick’s steadfast support of GRSP and his deep commitment to fostering international understanding through education. His dedication helped pave the way for countless students from around the world to study in Georgia and form lifelong connections with Rotary and our community.

Dick’s impact on GRSP and our club continues to be felt, and we are proud to celebrate his memory and the generosity of his family. Please join us as we express our heartfelt gratitude for a Rotarian who exemplified Service Above Self in every way.

This is a moment you won’t want to miss—come early and be part of honoring a true Rotary legacy.

This Week: Memorial Day Tribute Led by Past President Dave Young

Join us this week for a meaningful Roswell Rotary tradition—our annual Memorial Day program, led by Past President Dave Young and his dedicated team.

This special meeting gives us the opportunity to pause and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Through thoughtful reflection, moving tributes, and moments of remembrance, we recognize the true meaning of Memorial Day and the sacrifices made for our freedom.

Dave and his team have prepared a powerful program that promises to be both inspiring and heartfelt. We encourage all members to attend and bring guests as we come together in gratitude, fellowship, and service. Let us never forget those who gave all.
