Message from the President

Welcome to Our New Members!

We are excited to welcome our newest members to the Roswell Rotary family: Queen Brown, Deb Perkins, David Houck, Peter Saddler, and Steve Money. Each of you brings unique talents and experiences, and we are thrilled to have you join us in serving the community.

A special thanks to Dan Corso for his insightful presentation on the elite sporting events coming to Atlanta, including the FIFA World Cup. His updates on the exciting opportunities for our city were truly inspiring.

We look forward to working alongside our new members and continuing our mission of service above self!

Leadership 20/20: Empowering Our Future Leaders

One of the highlights of the year is our involvement with Leadership 20/20, where we have the privilege of hosting emerging student leaders from every corner of the Roswell High School campus. This program is a fantastic opportunity for these students to learn about leadership, personal growth, and the importance of service to others.

As part of their experience, the students will join our Rotary meeting to hear from Past President Dave McCleary, a leading advocate for ending human trafficking. Dave’s powerful message about keeping young people safe and empowering them to make a difference will no doubt inspire the next generation of leaders.

Leadership 20/20 continues to be a cornerstone of our commitment to nurturing youth leadership, and we are honored to support these bright young minds as they prepare to take on the challenges of tomorrow.

Looking for Veterans
Honor Air Trip April 9, 2025

CALLING ALL VETERANS (who have never been on an Honor Air Trip)

Roswell Rotary Honor Air is accepting 50 applications from US War veterans, America’s heros, for a complimentary free day trip to visit their Memorials  in Washington DC on April 9,2025.

Many of the men and women who fought and sacrificed for our country have not had the opportunity to visit their own Memorials. Our World War II veterans and also our Korean War veterans are facing health challenges so time is of the essence for these great men and women In addition, We want to give our Vietnam War veterans the “Welcome Home” they never received, honoring their service, sacrifice, and commitment to our country.

Here is how the Honor Air works: Approximately seventy World War II, Korean, and Vietnam War veterans plus guardians, a doctor and emergency personnel will gather at the Roswell, GA Community Center in the early morning hours and travel by motorcoach to the Atlanta airport. They will fly on a chartered plane to Washington, D.C. where they will be escorted on buses from the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport to the World War II Memorial. Then they will visit the Vietnam and Korean Memorials and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington Cemetery. That same day they will return to the Reagan airport, fly back to Atlanta and then by bus to Roswell. Every veteran will have a volunteer guardian to personally assist them. Veterans will be encouraged to take advantage of the complimentary wheelchairs throughout the day.
