Fellow Rotarians-

What a great weekend for Roswell Rotary! Between the Youth Day Parade and Gary Garrett's Farm Day we sure had a lot of fun.

The next few weeks we have a lot on the agenda. We have our Corn Hole Tournament for Polio on October 24 as well as a decorating party at Bulloch Hall (10/30-31) as we gear up for our first Christkindl Market (11/24-12/24)- VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!  We will also have the last Alive in Roswell for 2023 this Thursday (10/19) so let's end this year with a bang! We also need to remember to vote for our Scarecrow on Canton!

We also have our veterans initiatives in full swing! Please remember to bring items or money for the Adopt a Platoon this week through November 16. Our Veterans Appreciation Bus Tour is November 10th. We are still looking for Bus sponsors as well as servicemen (active, reserve, or retired veterans). And Gene and Lynne Lindsay are looking for volunteers for our Veterans Appreciation Invitational Basketball Tournament (Nov 18, 20, 21).

I look forward to seeing everyone this Thursday for chicken, fellowship, and our wonderful speaker as well as a red to blue badge ceremony!

Kwame has drastically transformed the organization’s operations, programs, and fundraising increasing overall revenue by 80%. Kwame is also the award-winning author of The Hope Inside: Harnessing the Power of Mentorship in Life and Career. Kwame is a highly sought after public speaker and consultant in the areas of fundraising, leadership development, strategy, marketing, and program innovation. Kwame found his passion while incarcerated during his senior year of high school. During this challenging time, he decided to change his life and made history by becoming the first youth to ever take his SATs in jail. Kwame was accepted into Hampton University and decided to leave college at the age of 19 to become a social entrepreneur and has dedicated his life to service.  Kwame is a graduate of Leadership Atlanta and holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland and an Executive Education Certificate in Nonprofit Strategy from Harvard University.
