Service Opportunities
Take a Look at How Your Club Can Help

Welcome to Rotary District 6900 SPOTLIGHT on SERVICE, a resource to assist you and your Club in continuing to have impactful service projects in your community!

This month’s spotlight is on Rotary’s Feed 10 Million Initiative. Last year, Rotarians in Zones 33 and 34 provided 6,448,000 meals to those in need. This year as the world continues to recover, it is our goal to provide at least 10 million meals … and we need your Club’s help!

In addition to projects your Club may already be doing to feed those in your community, join other Feed10Million projects such as:

  • Serve meals at a food kitchen or a club/Area/District event
  • Pack/deliver food at a food bank, for a backpack program or in conjunction with another organization
  • Participate in a Rise Against Hunger, Meals of Hope, or other similar packing event
  • Provide funds, where appropriate, to collaborate with another local or regional food distributing organization

To capture the good work many Clubs have or will be doing to feed your community , there is a very simple reporting tool to track the number of meals provided. Simply use this link to upload your information. This data input can easily be done by club members that are doing the hands-on work or anyone else.

Also, Vinings Cumberland Past President Ray Gadd (ray.gadd2826@gmail.com; 704-654-8014) is our District’s Feed 10 Million Champion and is a great a resource for project ideas and help with reporting your progress.
