President John's MessageWhen Russia invaded
Ukraine in February, Rotary responded with direct aid to Rotary clubs in
Ukraine, Poland and other countries helping those displaced by war. In
two months, Rotary International raised over $15 million in a disaster relief
appeal. District 6900 put out a call to Rotarians in our district and we
answered. This week Chris Brand with FODAC (Friends of Disabled Adults
& Children) will share an update about the district's efforts to collect
and ship medical supplies and other needed items to hospitals and other groups
in Ukraine as this month’s "Service Moment".

Sneak Peek at August 25 Program: Putting, Pies, and Bob Oh My!
What do putting and pies and Bob Hagan have in common? Buckle your seat belt because they will all be featured in our August 25th program! Think you can putt? Then put your skills to the test during the putting contest at our lunch program on 8/25. Want to throw a pie at a good sport for a good cause? Participate in our pie throwing activity. And think you can get the ball in Bob Hagan's mouth? Go for it on Thursday 8/25. Get on out of your seat at lunch and do what Roswell Rotary does best-support our community and have fun! First Responders Drive Through Cookout
Roswell Rotary, in partnership with the City of Roswell, will be holding its third annual 9-11 First Responders Drive Through Cookout on Saturday, September 3, 2022 between 3 pm and 8 pm. The Cookout will be held at Roswell Fire Station #4, off of Old Alabama Road, Roswell. During the September 11, 2001 attacks, 2,977 people were killed and more than 6,000 other were injured. Of the 2,977 fatalities, 2,753 were killed in the World Trade Center and surrounding area, 184 at the Pentagon, and 40 in Pennsylvania. These deaths included 265 on the four planes. The attacks remain the deadliest terrorist act in world history.
