Our club is dedicated to supporting our local educators and making sure every student in Roswell has access to the education they need for a successful future.
Here are some of the many ways our club supports education and literacy in our community:
Read Across Roswell - Our club purchases 50 copies of the Read Across America book and volunteers from our club go to every elementary school class in Roswell to read the book. When we finish reading, we gift the book to the class.
Leadership 20/20 - Each year 70-100 students from Roswell High School are selected by their teachers to spend the day expanding their leadership skills. Members of our club work through exercises with the students. These future leaders join our club meeting for lunch and a guest speaker geared towards them.
Student & Teacher Of The Year - Each month we honor the student and teacher of the year from a local area school. Throughout the year, each school in Roswell (both public and private) attends a Roswell Rotary meeting to speak to the club, introduce that school's student and teacher of the year and receive an award from Roswell Rotary.
Laws of Life Essay Contest - Each year our club is proud to be a platinum sponsor of the Georgia Laws of Life Essay Contest. Volunteers from our club coordinate the contest at Roswell and Independence High Schools. The school winners present their essays to our club at a meeting every April.
