
General and Artistic Director of
the Atlanta Opera since 2013, Israeli born Tomer Zvulun
is one of opera’s most exciting stage directors, earning consistent praise for
his creative vision, often described as cinematic and fresh. His work has been
presented and awarded domestically and internationally by prestigious opera
houses. He launched Atlanta Opera’s Discoveries Series, he created the first
young artist program in Atlanta Opera’s history, tripled the company’s annual
revenue, created a film studio, and built a theatre in a circus tent
where performances were conducted safely during the pandemic. Tomer’s work is
being taught at Harvard Business School and back at home, Tomer gave a 2018
