New Medical Equipment Collection Site Launched

Partnerships Make It Possible!

On September 18, 2024, Friends of Disabled Adults and Children (FODAC)  -- spearheaded by the Roswell Rotary Club in partnership with the Rotary Clubs of Alpharetta, Johns Creek North Fulton, and North Fulton, the American Legion Post 201, VFW, and Vision Warriors -- launched a new initiative to increase access to Durable Medical Equipment (DME) for those in need. Held at American Legion Post 201 in Alpharetta, the event marked the delivery of a 40-foot container that will serve as a collection site and distribution point for new and gently-used medical equipment. Johnathan Crooks has been a great partner for almost 2 years, bringing this program to life! The donated items -- including wheelchairs, walkers, and hospital beds -- will be sanitized, refurbished, and distributed to those in need. This initiative is also aimed at reducing medical waste by repurposing equipment as well as helping FODAC increase its annual refurbishment numbers to meet growing demand. Community members are encouraged to donate equipment to support those in need across Georgia.
