Jonathan Crooks – Historian, Historical Reenactor, Paranormal Investigator and Roswell Rotarian
Jonathan, a three-year Roswell Rotarian, has been a Historical Reenactor for over 35 years, portraying historical figures from Virginia to Florida and now for 22 years in Georgia. After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in American History from Siena College in Loudonville, New York, Mr. Crooks spent years portraying different historical figures including Theodorick Lee of Virginia, an uncle of Robert E. Lee, Rev. Nathaniel Pratt of Roswell Presbyterian Church, Major James S. Bulloch of Bulloch Hall, Barrington King, and others for the City of Roswell and many of the Roswell Historic homes.
Mr.Crooks currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Friends of Bulloch. He was head of volunteers at Stone House at Manassas National Battlefield Park where he led historical talks. He is past Vice President of the Roswell Historical Society and has presented many talks on Roswell's history to local groups. All this experience helped him train for work in paranormal investigations. Having this acute historical understanding helps him explain paranormal activity when it occurs. For 17 years, Jonathan has led the Roswell Ghost Tours and has been part of paranormal investigations in Roswell and on Civil War Battlefields.
