I was born into a military family, which meant I learned early on how to adapt, connect, and find my footing wherever life took me. Growing up as a military brat, I moved all over the country, but when people ask where home is, I always say it’s somewhere between Charleston, South Carolina, and Raleigh, North Carolina. Those two places shaped who I am — a mix of southern grit, hospitality and a love for good people and good times.
For over 20 years, I worked in manufacturing, where I learned the value of hard work, problem-solving, and leadership. That background built the foundation for everything I do today — including running my own business and leading teams with the same precision and care that manufacturing demanded.
I’m lucky to share this life with my amazing partner, Betsy Rouse. She’s also a military brat, so she understands the meaning of resilience and rolling with life’s changes. Together, we’ve built something special — not just a business, but a community centered around connection, creativity and craft beer.
I’m also a proud dad to two incredible kids, Dominik and Maya, who are both now in their 20s and carving out their own paths in life. Watching them grow into independent, capable adults is one of my greatest joys.
When I’m not at the brewery or working on the next project, you can usually find me doing something I love — shooting, talking fantasy football, brewing new beers, or just spending time with friends and family. I’m a die-hard fan of the Carolina Panthers, UNC Tar Heel basketball and UGA football — which makes for some interesting game days. And if I can sneak away to the beach, that’s where I find my peace — the ocean has a way of resetting everything.
At the end of the day, I love people, I love a good challenge, and I love building something that brings folks together. That’s what drives me every single day.
