This week, our club is honored to welcome Danny Hall, one of the most accomplished coaches in Georgia Tech history and a defining figure in college baseball. Danny Hall served as the head baseball coach for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets from 1994 to 2025, closing out a remarkable 31‑year tenure. Over those decades, he built a legacy unmatched in Tech athletics, becoming the winningest head coach in school history with an extraordinary 1,140–605–1 record.
Before arriving at Georgia Tech, Hall built a strong coaching foundation across several respected programs. He began his career at Miami (OH) from 1978–1979, compiling a 69–26 (.726) record. He then spent eight seasons at Michigan, where he contributed to a 368–111–1 record as an assistant coach. From 1988–1993, he led Kent State to a 208–117 (.640) mark.
At Georgia Tech, Hall guided the Yellow Jackets to 23 postseason appearances in 28 full seasons and delivered College World Series trips in 1994, 2002, and 2006. His teams dominated the ACC from 2004–2006 with a conference‑best 74–38 record, and his 52‑win 2002 season remains a school record. Hall is also the only Georgia Tech head coach to hold a winning record in the storied rivalry with Georgia, known as Clean, Old‑Fashioned Hate. Hall announced his retirement near the end of the 2025 season, concluding his career after the Oxford Regional matchup against Ole Miss.
He and his wife, Kara, have three sons: Danny, Carter, and Colin. His son Carter was selected in the 34th round of the 2015 MLB Draft before choosing to attend Georgia Tech.
Also This Week: Laws of Life Presentation
In addition to Coach Hall’s program, we will feature our annual Laws of Life presentation, one of Rotary’s most inspiring youth initiatives, highlighting student voices and the values that shape strong character and leadership.
