On November 7, 2024, Roswell Rotary and its members and guests went “On the Road” to hold its
regular Thursday lunch meeting at the Brady Pavilion at the Chattahoochee Nature Center honoring our
own District Governor, Gordon Owens, and his wife, Ashley Owens! During lunch, Roswell Rotary
recognized its new Major Donors and Paul Harris fellows, heard about Chattahoochee Nature Center,
including seeing a possum and heard from District Governor Gordon. After the meeting, 45+ members
and a team from TechniPower participated in building the six ADA picnic tables, including placing
Roswell Rotary signage on each table and place the tables at the Roswell Rotary Rest Stop. In addition,
District Governor Gordon and Past District Governor Bob Hagan helped install a Rotary Peace Pole at the
Roswell Rotary Rest Stop—the second Peace Pole located at Chattahoochee Nature Center. We were
excited to engage our members and TechniPower at Chattahoochee Nature Center in such an impactful
project and celebrating DG Gordon and Ashley all at the same time!
