This program is being led by Darrell Bartlett with assistance from Ken Briggs and John Ross of Drake House. Roswell High Schools Shop Program with instructor, Kevin Squires, is used this program as a means to educate the student to build a house. The students were guided to build plans and do the analysis to complete the house. Consideration of cost, amount & type of materials needed was part of the program's educational inclusion. Analysis of each step was detailed to educate the students so that they could implement the same steps should they build something in the future. Once the home was completed, it was moved for the children at Drake House to be used as a playhouse, Preliminary construction plans have been provided. This is another opportunity to educate and promote students on the benefits of trade schools to learn a skill set that would enable them to support themselves in the future.
