Lake Lanier Shore Sweep

Lake Lanier Shore Sweep is schedules annually to bring hundreds over 1,000 volunteers together to clean over 600 miles of shoreline. Alpharetta Rotarians, Interactors, and family members continued our tradition this year in participating in this enormously successful event. We were part of the team that has successfully collected over nine tons of trash over the years. This effort not only preserves the lake for its main purpose of providing hydroelectricity, navigation, flood control and water supply for Atlanta. It also provides for continued recreational activities on the lake and the surrounding beaches.
