Alpharetta Veterans Memorial

Alpharetta Veterans Memorial Several years ago the President of Rotary International charged all clubs to assist their communities in planting trees. From that club meeting an idea germinated to not omnly plant trees in the new Alpharetta city Center , but also to build a memorial to all our military veterans. Club members, working with the City, got an idea, had it approved and now the memorial is in the building stage. From that project, another sprung to life and that is where the Alpharetta club will lead a Memorial day celebration in the new City Center. Thanks to the current President, Karen Nolan and past Presidents Dan Merkel and Bill Weeks and the vision. In addition to the Club's donation we also support a Member's matching grant for the memorial. The Member donate $1K and the Club matched. Our total contribution to the Memorial from a Rotarian the the Club is $4.5K.
