An Alpharetta Rotary Club member wanted to build awareness for the Alpharetta Veterans Memorial and asked the Club to match his own generous donation. The memorial was conceived as a way to honor all our military veterans. As part of the memorial process, the memorial will also help the Rotary club of Alpharetta be a bigger presence in different celebration around the city. By being a part of the memorial group, not only will the club look to lead events such as a Memorial day tribute, the club can spread the good word of Rotary and Peace. The clubs involvement can help attract new members and add visibility in the community.
The Members Matching grant program helps the club build awareness of other great service organizations and empowers the members to increase their contribution to these great organizations. The Club currently contribute up to $1,000 to organizations through this grant process. In order to be qualified the nonprofit must be a 501(c)3 and their mission is shared with at least one of Rotary’s Six Areas of Focus. The Alpharetta Rotarian sponsoring the grant must be a member in good standing.
