Christmas the Salvation Army has one of its larges fundraisers, the Christmas Kettle Drive. This year the Rotarians, family members, and Interact Students from Independence Milton and Alpharetta High School partner with the Salvation Army in their effort to raise monies to fund their programs. We manned our post outside the Macy’s Department store at North Pointe Mall to ring the bell and greet people coming and going with a smile and a Christmas cheer. Like previous years, we filled our bucket from shoppers who gave generously to the cause. The day is always one for great Rotarian fellowship.
Project Details. The Salvation Army help thousands of people who are in need. Their programs include; helping the homeless, disaster relief, helping to get children who are used in human trafficking off the streets, housing services, missing persons, drug rehabilitation, and much more. Their work is simply to help people in need.
