Art Literacy @ Treehouse Art Gallery Sis and Moon

This year's President Signature Project for Basic Education and Literacy. Part of the multi-project program was Art Literacy. We built a program with the Treehouse Gallery at Sis and Moon in historical downtown Alpharetta, that would support a place to at risk kids with the love for art to come get additional art training and a place with other artist like themselves. Teenagers who are artistic sometimes fall out of the mainstream and the art gallery is a place for them to meet with other students and adults who share like passion. Students will participate in designing a mural for the downtown area that will include the Rotary wheel. The Art Literacy Program is a pilot for the Club this year and was started with 2 students. If successful we see the opportunity to grow the program.
