Making Jonesboro a Greener and More Sustainable Area


The Rotary Club of Lake Spivey/Clayton County planted a tree in Jonesboro Park in the City of Jonesboro.

Members of the club were on hand to present the tree and the plaque to Jonesboro officials, including City Manager, Ricky Clark, Mayor, Joy Day, Club President, Gina McCombs, City Councilwoman, Pat Sebo and Councilman, Alfred Dixon. President Gina received a certificate from Mayor Day citing the Rotary Club of Lake Spivey/Clayton County for its part in making Jonesboro a greener and more sustainable area. Rotary International is asking each of its 35,000 Clubs worldwide to plants trees to help save the global environment.
