January 1 marked the half way mark for our Rotary year – so let’s see where we are…
From the district standpoint (the big picture) we are at $59.25 per capita. That is total giving to the Annual Fund divided by the number of members in our district. Remember, the Annual Fund is the money that comes back to our district in three years for District Grants and matching Global Grants. Traditionally, we finish the year at about $200 per capita, so we have some catching up to do. But this should be within reach because we still have 25 clubs that have not sent in any money at all this year (please do!).
If we look at total giving (which includes the Annual Fund, Polio and the Endowment Fund) we are at $712,411 so far. This is a great number since our goal is to exceed $1,000,000 – we are on target. Much of this is thanks to your generosity to Polio Plus. This district has given a total of almost a half million dollars to Polio this year – Thank you!!
Let’s look at the leaders in our race to our Foundation goals:
Annual Fund Top Giving
Top Per Capita Clubs
Top Polio Giving Clubs
So far, no club has qualified for the Winner’s Circle (but I have my fingers crossed!). This year we have added 167 Paul Harris Fellows and nine Major Donors. Thank you all very much!
Please focus on the Annual Fund and send in your donation to The Rotary Foundation. Have questions? Give me a call or email – or contact any member of the District Foundation team. We are here to serve you and make life easier.
