Alpharetta Rotary Invites Rotarians to Join Tanzania Service and Safari Trip

September 25 - October 7, 2019 ... Reservations Requested Now

The Rotary Club of Alpharetta will spend three to four days in late September partnering with Rotary Tanzania with their public school and orphanage projects. The Rotary Club of Arusha-Mount Meru (District 9211) is in process of applying for a Rotary Foundation grant for a school clean water project, and Alpharetta Rotary is exploring ways it could become a partner in that effort as well. Project details will be communicated in the near future. You can learn more about the Rotary District 9211 (Uganda and Tanzania) and its projects at https://rotaryd9211.org/

After the service project is complete, the group will set out on a safari - including Tangagire National Park, the Serengeti (with an added opportunity for a hot air balloon ride), the Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge and more. You can see the details and itinerary for the exciting in-country adventure at https://itinerary.ntabaafrica.com/Itinerary/Overvi... - including amazing photos.

The total basic trip cost with airfare will be approximately. $5,500 for ten days in-country (six on safari) meals and lodging included! There is room for about 10 more people to join those already onboard from the Alpharetta Club - the block of rooms that has been reserved are available until about mid-February. The deposit to reserve a spot is $675/person.
