Four Marietta Rotarians were active participants in the groundbreaking - Rev. Dr. Mark Barbour, Don Barbour, Kelli Wolk and Jennifer Nelson
The Rotary Club of Marietta was well represented at the recent ground breaking ceremonies of the new College and Career Academy at Marietta High School. The project was conceived and led by Rotarian Dr. Tim Brown. Rotary’s strong representation on the Academy’s Steering Committee and throughout the entire process to date is a simply huge outreach into our community’s youth and their education and careers.
Tim’s proud parents, former Marietta elementary school Principal Reed Brown and Annette Smith Brownwere guests of honor who will long remember this most enjoyable, special occasion.
Marietta City Schools is working closely with four local colleges - Chattahoochee Technical College, Georgia Highlands, Kennesaw State University and Life University - to offer classes, degrees and certificates through the academy.
