On September 10, 2018, the Roswell Rotary Club will hold its 40 th Annual Golf and Tennis Tournament. It all started in 1978 when Roswell Rotarians, Frank Brown, Judge Maurice Hilliard, and former Mayor of Roswell, Aubrey Greenway (father of Past District Governor Cheryl Greenway) saw a need for a community fundraiser. The first golf tournament raised $3500 for charities in the North Fulton community. In 2013, the Hagan Cup Classic, named for Past District Governor Bob Hagan, was added to the day’s events so tennis players could join the fun.Today, the tournament generates over $200,000 while remaining one of the Southeast’s largest 100% volunteer community fundraisers.Funds raised allow Roswell Rotary to support over 30 local charities. Roswell Rotary hopes to honor those Rotarians that started this fundraiser by having another successful tournament this year.
