The Annual Fund and Grants


This has been a wonderful Foundation year so far, and there is still plenty to go! As of today, we have 34 active Global Grants, 4 awaiting approval and 11 more in Draft stage being developed. That is amazing! To put it into perspective, most districts around the world have fewer than 6 Global Grants at any given time. Thank you for your commitment to Being the Inspiration!

We are coming up on the time of year where your District Grant should be completed. Take a moment to update your grant by uploading receipts and other documents regarding your projects. Don’t forget to include pictures.

The reason the district can support these grants is because of your generous support of the Annual Fund. Remember, the money you give comes back to the district in three years to support all of these grants. So far this year, giving to the Annual Fund is down. We are at about 50% of the goals submitted by the clubs at the beginning of the year. There are several clubs that have sent nothing to the Annual Fund this year. We need your help.

Have you sent your donation to the Annual Fund yet?

Most clubs include $25 per quarter on their invoices to be sent to The Rotary Foundation, but the money doesn’t always get submitted. Maybe everyone thinks it is someone else’s job to send it in. Maybe nobody knows how to do the paperwork. Either way, we can help. Please take a moment to ensure your club has submitted collected funds from the first half of the year.

Sending in your donations is pretty simple. There are only two forms – one for sending in money for one person and another if you are sending in money for multiple people included in a single check. Both forms can be downloaded from Rotary.org or the District website. If you or your club have any questions about how to submit your money to the Annual Fund, please contact me at margie@callkbs.com I am glad to provide forms and/or directions.

If you are an individual who would like to send money to the Annual Fund, you can download the donation form or you can use your credit card to make your donation online at Rotary.org . You can even sign up with Rotary Direct and have a donation taken out every month, every quarter or every year – whatever works best for you.

No matter how you do it, please support the Annual Fund of The Rotary Foundation. When you do, you will be supporting all of the future projects and grants for our district.
